Hello!

I have made a video in which I annotate a poem, and walk you through it whilst I do so. I’ve done this because every time I ask a student to annotate a poem, all I get are very literal and superficial scribblings with no use of literary devices, and no further analysis or understanding. I hope this sheds some light and helps more students with the unseen poetry section.

The skills applied here can be applied to unseen prose and unseen plays as well.

Do forgive the weird sound qualities and the choppiness of it. It’s my first time doing something like this, and in a hurry too, in light of the upcoming exams.

It’s a simplified annotation, to start with. I might do one more over the next few days that’s a bit more in-depth, if I ever do find the time.

Until then,
Good luck!

I’m not too proud to accept a show of appreciation.

(If you can’t afford it, it’s really not an issue. The video will remain free-to-view. :D)
